# Using Direct Dictation with Nexus AI™ Scribe

#### There may be situations where you need to dictate a note directly into the EMR, rather than rely on live transcription. The new Direct Dictation feature allows you to capture your spoken content precisely as you say it — making it ideal for cases where clinical accuracy, organization, and detail are essential.

### When to Use **Direct Dictation**

Use our **Direct Dictation** feature when you need to document verbatim:

- Complex medical histories that require detailed narrative structure
- Comprehensive physical examination findings with specific or formatted elements
- Time-sensitive clinical decisions made outside of a scheduled encounter
- Follow-up documentation that wasn’t captured during the original visit

### When to Use **Scribe**

Use our **Scribe** feature for:

- Real-time documentation during patient encounters
- Routine or standard visit notes with conversational flow
- Common appointments where live transcription is sufficient

Both **Direct Dictation** and **Scribe** seamlessly integrate with your EMR.  
The generated outputs from either feature can be reviewed, edited, and incorporated into your patient chart for official documentation.
