Why “Remember Me” May Not Work in Nexus AI™ Scribe: Browser Cookie Settings

Issue

Users who check the “Remember me for 12 hours” option when logging into Nexus AI™ may find that they are still required to log in each time they revisit the site. This typically happens when their browser is configured to clear cookies upon exit.

Root Cause

Session persistence in Nexus AI depends on cookies. If your browser is set to automatically clear cookies when you close it, this will remove the session cookie that stores your login credentials—negating the “Remember me” feature.

Solution

To ensure your Nexus AI session is remembered:

1. Allow cookies in your browser settings. 

  • Go to your browser’s Privacy and Security settings. 
  • Under Cookies and site data, ensure cookies are allowed. 
  • Avoid enabling “Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows.”

2. Add an exception for Nexus AI. 

3. Use the same browser and device for your session. 

  • Your session is stored locally. Using a different browser or clearing your cache will require re-authentication.
